Webinar overview of 2018-2019 DAC group purchasing scheme

Over a series of recent webinars members heard about the benefits and costs savings when they buy primary source digital archival collections from the group purchasing scheme. Publishers provided an overview of the wide variety of content available.

Under the scheme members get an immediate 20% discount on the list price of all products on offer, with the discount rising based on the cumulative number of products purchased from each publisher. All products are perpetual purchases with no on-going hosting charges.

To hear more about the group purchasing scheme and what is on offer listen to:

Webinar 1 Contributing publishers:  Brill, British Online Archives, Irish Newspaper Archives, Wiley]

Webinar 2 Contributing publishers: DeGruyter, EBSCO, ProQuest, Public Information Online, Taylor & Francis.

I focus on access and use of digital content in learning, teaching and research, offering guidance and support through the ‘Making your digital collections easier to discover’ online guide aimed at Jisc’s higher education members.
Additionally, I manage the digital archival collections group purchasing scheme. An innovative purchasing model based on a very simple principle – the more products collectively purchased by our members, the lower the price for everyone involved.
